What Readers' Favorite is saying about
"From The Dust"

-An Excerpt  From Liz Konkel for Readers' Favorite Review

"The writing remains fairly light overall with an almost bubbly quality about it, but Bolinder weaves in serious danger without ever getting too dark. The fairies have a fun spin to them, with their personalities mainly bubbly or serene, moving away from the typical devious and trickster personalities of fairies. Bolinder mixes a symbiotic relationship with nature and a powerful connection to magic in this fun fairy adventure. From The Dust is a journey of discovery that uncovers the secrets of the past in a fight to save the future of two kingdoms."

The Wolf And The Crimson Maiden

It's the real story of Little Red Riding Hood but it may be nothing like you remember...

In this teen romance/fantasy Rose Emila Decanter is far more than her crimson velvet cloak may seem but very few can see past not only her cloak but what it means to the villagers of Bemouth as her father the huntsman's shadow ever looms over her.

But everything changes the moment she was saved by him...

"If you like fairy tales, this is the story to read. Bolinder weaved together some classic children stories, used her own imagination and created a brand new tale."

-Christina Steiner Author of the award winning "Shimji, the Channel Island Vixen"

"I have read quite a few fairytale adaptations over the years but this one was different in a number of ways. The unique idea of the wolf-man and the burgeoning love between the two was clever and lifted this story above many of the others I have read that could be classified as similar. The Wolf and the Crimson Maiden is an excellent story full of excitement and adventure but still managing to continue that fairytale staple of delivering a sound, moral message to readers. Author Anastasia Bolinder has created characters that are immediately recognizable to the original story yet unique enough in their own way to distinguish them totally from the original. I particularly enjoyed the emotional gamut the pair experienced as they realized their growing love for each other but also the perils that love placed each of them in. The question always at the forefront of readers’ mind would be: “Is the greatest love of all the willingness to sacrifice that very love to save the life of the person you love?” In some ways, I wanted the story to continue and the author has hinted there are future adventures to come, which I shall look forward to. This is a well-written book well worth the read and I can definitely recommend it."

"The cover art by Niken Anindita is beautiful and majestic in its own way, easily capturing the essence of the story. The charming illustrations by Bolinder also elevate the reading experience of this imaginative tale. Her uniqueness aside, Quil has the typical teen desires to make friends, do what she loves most (in her case, skyjumping and turning into her liberating Skyjump beast form), and being with the boy she likes. SkyJump is clearly targeted for YA and perhaps slightly younger readers but as an adult, I enjoyed the originality of the concept and story premise. There is still lots to discover about the mysterious Skyjump people themselves, and Book 1 is a good start for the series. All in all, an interesting fantasy tale from Anastasia Bolinder."

"Iris and the Kingdom of Moss by Anastasia Bolinder is a riveting young adult fantasy. Prince Suren and his knights stumbled upon a fair maiden unconscious in a field of irises. Awestruck by her ethereal beauty, they wondered if perhaps she was a goddess. Unfortunately, the lady could not even remember her name. Dolen, one of the knights, suggested that she be called Iris on account of where she was found. The few memories that surfaced after her mental blackout indicated that she had gone through a traumatic ordeal. Despite the agony associated with digging up her past, Iris and her newfound friends were determined to discover her identity. However, how would Iris relate to her past self?"
